Yes, I've had my teeth cleaned at the dentist first. I have a Sonicare (and have used it for at least 5 years) and have just used a full box of Crest Vivid white strips. This would all be great, if it were true for everyone. Use the toothpaste your dentist recommends, but put your focus and efforts on brushing and flossing well. Toothpastes don’t typically make a significant enough difference in regards to plaque removal in my experience. Flossing and brushing will make the biggest difference. Plaque level is largely dependent on manual removal. I’d talk to your dentist though to make sure these toothpastes align with your needs. ![]() If you don’t have sensitive teeth, I also really like Crest detoxify, which is a great option for people who are more prone to build up. If your dentist recommends against Sensodyne (for whatever reason as per your specific needs) but you have sensitive teeth, Crest gum and sensitivity is a great option as well. Sensodyne whitening toothpaste is touted to be one of the least abrasive because the brand is garnered towards those with sensitive teeth. Their whitening toothpastes are abrasive (as are most whitening toothpastes). My mum couldn’t eat for a week after her whitening! Which is great because I have heard whitening is really painful if you have sensitive teeth. I swear the $80 on that Soniccare was the best money I ever spent.Įdit: I just wanted to add, prior to this I was using a regular toothbrush and was scrubbing so hard and so often trying to get my teeth whiter that I had my dentist give me the riot act because I was brushing TOO hard and hurting my gums badly! The Soniccare whitening toothbrush made all the difference. I highly recommend this because it sounds like normal brushing isn’t keeping the stains away and anything you pay $$$ for at the dentist isn’t going to just magically last 6 months if you are not starting at a place where you are equipped to keep them truly clean. NOW use 3D Crest Whitening strips and it will actually make a difference Step 3: after two weeks of doing this, you’ve knocked down a lot of surface stains. Make sure when using the Soniccare you are following the instructions on using it and select the longest brushing time. Step 2: Crest 3D whitening toothpaste and Sensidine toothpaste, alternate between them. Its different than a normal toothbrush, and it does make a HUGE difference. ![]() Watch a video on how to brush with Soniccare. I am not a shill for the company but I swear this makes a huge difference especially since you want this long lasting but you also drink red wine. I was totally set on a professional whitening but didn’t need to after this: Please report any comments that fit this description so we can act accordingly.īefore you do this, try what I did.
